Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has appealed to U.S. President Joe Biden for the release of Dr. Aafia Siddiqui, a Pakistani neuroscientist serving an 86-year sentence for terrorism. Convicted in 2010 for attempting to kill U.S. personnel, Siddiqui has spent 16 years in prison. Sharif cited concerns over her deteriorating mental and physical health and requested Biden to consider her sister's clemency petition on humanitarian grounds.
