Kansas State University's Kansas Energy Program (KEP) received a $600,000 grant from the Kansas Corporation Commission to promote energy efficiency in Kansas. The one-year project will offer free energy assessments to rural small businesses and agricultural producers, provide energy education, and assist with USDA Rural Energy for America Program grant applications. Additionally, over $650,000 in USDA grants will support renewable energy and efficiency projects in seven rural Kansas communities.
