Ireland plans a €130 million investment for six new medical programs to address healthcare workforce shortages.

Ireland plans to launch six new degree programs in medicine, pharmacy, and dentistry starting next year to alleviate pressure on CAO points for in-demand courses. The initiatives, supported by a €130 million investment from the National Training Fund, include a new bachelor’s in dental surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons and expanded pharmacy training at multiple universities, creating over 150 additional pharmacy graduates annually and addressing healthcare workforce shortages.
