Binghamton University President Harvey Stenger announced he will step down after nearly 13 years, effective at the end of the academic year. He plans to stay until a successor is appointed. Stenger's tenure saw significant growth in enrollment and campus development, including the expansion of the Health Sciences Campus. He cited a desire to spend more time with family and explore new opportunities as reasons for his departure. SUNY Chancellor John King will lead the search for his replacement.
