Arkansas Governor Sanders launches $5M initiative for youth substance abuse treatment home and adult housing with $2M and $3M grants, respectively.

Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders unveiled a $5 million initiative to enhance mental health and substance abuse services. This includes a $2 million grant for Unity Health in Searcy to create the state’s first youth substance abuse treatment home and a $3 million grant for Independence Care of Arkansas to develop housing for adults in Camden. Both projects aim to improve care for those with behavioral health challenges and must be completed by September 2026.
