10-year-old Sara Sharif died from starvation, strangulation, and abuse in Woking, Surrey; father, stepmother, and uncle on trial.

Ten-year-old Sara Sharif died from starvation and strangulation, with evidence of a broken neck bone prior to her death. Found with over 70 injuries, including fractures and burns, her father, stepmother, and uncle are on trial for neglect and abuse, which they deny. Pathologist Professor Anthony Freemont testified that the neck injury suggests manual strangulation. The trial is ongoing following her death in August 2022 in Woking, Surrey.
