Canadian midfielder Desiree Scott, 37, has announced her retirement from professional soccer at the end of the NWSL season. Known as "The Destroyer" for her tough playing style, Scott earned 187 caps for Canada, participated in three World Cups, and won three Olympic medals. She spent seven seasons in Kansas City with FC Kansas City and the Current, and will be honored in their final home game against the San Diego Wave.
