The Congenital Heart Initiative (CHI) has published a study in JAMA Network Open analyzing the long-term quality of life for over 4,500 adults with congenital heart disease (CHD) across the U.S. While 84% reported good or better quality of life, 88% faced additional health issues, and 35% experienced mood disorders. The CHI aims to enhance diversity and partnerships to inform future research and improve outcomes for the 1.5 million American adults living with CHD.
