5 Southeast Asian nations sign memorandum to share aviation safety data for enhanced air travel safety.

Five Southeast Asian nations—Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand—have signed a memorandum to share aviation safety data, including reports of severe turbulence, to enhance air travel safety. Set to launch by year-end, the initiative aims to use de-identified data to identify safety hazards and trends. Thailand will manage the data, while Singapore will analyze it, ensuring findings are not used for investigations or enforcement. Other nations are encouraged to join.
