Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) shares rose over 7% on October 17 after the company secured a ₹270 crore contract from Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation for constructing seven elevated metro stations. Despite disappointing Q1FY25 results showing a 27% drop in sales and a 35% decline in profit, RVNL has seen substantial growth, with a 181.5% increase in shares over the past year and nearly 2,000% over five years.
