Nestlé India to launch 14 sugar-free Cerelac variants amid higher sugar content criticism.

Nestlé India will launch 14 new variants of its Cerelac baby food brand without refined sugar, expanding the range to 21 variants. This decision responds to criticism regarding higher sugar content in Indian Cerelac compared to products in Europe and the UK. Seven sugar-free variants are expected by the end of November 2024. Nestlé previously claimed it had reduced added sugars in its products by 30% over five years, complying with Indian food safety standards.
