National Geographic team discovers possible remains of Andrew Irvine from the 1924 Everest expedition; DNA tests pending.

A National Geographic documentary team has discovered a boot and partial remains believed to belong to Andrew "Sandy" Irvine, who vanished with George Mallory during a 1924 Everest expedition. Found on the Central Rongbuk Glacier, the boot contained a foot and a sock labeled "A.C. Irvine." While Mallory's remains were found in 1999, the discovery reignites questions about whether they reached the summit. DNA testing is pending, and Irvine's body may hold a camera that could provide crucial evidence.
