Two German pilots died in southern Finland when their T-6 Texan aircraft, a World War II-era trainer, crashed shortly after takeoff from Rayskala airfield. The single-engine plane, recently sold and set for transfer to Germany, caught fire and crashed into a nearby forest. Finnish investigators suspect engine failure as the cause of the accident. The aircraft was the only one of its kind in Finland and had been inspected earlier this month.
