Carol Surface, Apple's Chief People Officer, is leaving the company after fewer than two years. She oversaw human resources, recruiting, and diversity initiatives since joining in 2023. Her departure follows several other executive exits, including CFO Luca Maestri. With Surface's exit, the responsibilities will revert to Deirdre O'Brien, who previously managed both HR and retail. The reasons for her departure remain unclear.
