Michael Forrest Thornton, 68, has died in a California state prison hospice from a terminal illness. He was convicted in 2006 for the 2001 kidnapping, torture, and murder of 16-year-old Michelle Curran. Along with accomplice Janeen Marie Snyder, who remains incarcerated, they were notorious for luring young women with promises of drugs. Snyder is one of the few women on California's death row, though no executions have occurred since 2006.
