On October 15, in Whitburn, a 40-year-old man was assaulted while walking his dog, as two men attempted to steal the pet. The attack occurred around 6:40 PM in an alleyway, with the assailants fleeing towards Pokemmet Road. The victim received treatment at home. Local authorities are seeking witnesses and any relevant video footage. Detective Constable Lynn Myles encourages those with information to assist in the investigation.
