3-week-old baby abandoned, found outside Springfield apartment, Baystate Medical Center stable condition.
A few weeks old baby boy was found abandoned outside an apartment building on Worthington Street in Springfield, Massachusetts, on Tuesday evening. The Springfield Police responded to a 911 call at around 7:45 p.m., and the baby was taken to Baystate Medical Center, where he is in stable condition. Authorities are seeking information about the baby's circumstances and remind the public of the state's Safe Haven Law, allowing legal surrender of newborns.
