Romanian PM urged to devise plan for meeting EU Resilience Facility milestones to unlock €1.1bn.

Romanian Liberal Party leader Nicolae Ciucă has pressed Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu for a plan to prevent losing €1.1 billion from the EU's Resilience Facility, which is suspended due to six unmet milestones. The European Commission recently approved Romania’s €2 billion payment request but highlighted the need for reforms in state-owned enterprises, transport investments, and tax regulations. Romania has six months to meet the requirements to unblock the funds.
