Queensland farmer William Cawood pleads guilty to cattle theft and unregistered branding.

William Donald Cawood, a farmer from Mackay, Queensland, faces charges of cattle theft and unregistered branding. He pleaded guilty to stealing cattle from another grazier in April, which were later recovered. Additionally, he was charged with branding his own cattle with an unregistered mark from November 2020 to April 2024. Cawood is scheduled for sentencing at the Mackay Magistrates Court on October 31, following a complaint that initiated the investigation.
