Oregon Department of Transportation reaffirms ban on political campaign signs in state highway right-of-ways.

The Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) has reiterated that political campaign signs cannot be placed in state highway right-of-ways, which include shoulders and ditches. Signs found in these areas will be removed and stored for 30 days. They are also banned on trees and utility poles. Political signs are permitted on private property with size and design restrictions. No compensation can be exchanged for the placement or message of these signs.
