Malaysian Ministry of Plantation and Commodities discusses increasing financial aid for smallholder oil palm replanting.

The Malaysian Ministry of Plantation and Commodities (KPK) is set to discuss with the Ministry of Finance (MOF) the possibility of increasing financial aid for smallholder oil palm replanting to improve productivity. Currently, only 0.2% of smallholders participate in the replanting program, far below the 4% target. The government has allocated RM100 million for the initiative, aiming for a 5,900-hectare replanting area in 2024.
