China's Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS) is set to create an international agricultural science and technology exchange platform in Hainan province by 2035, aiming to enhance food security globally. The initiative includes establishing a leading agricultural science center and a base for animal and plant germplasm resources. CAAS will collaborate with countries along the Belt and Road Initiative, focusing on climate change, food security, and biological security, while also partnering with the African Academy of Sciences for agricultural modernization in Africa.
