Al Pacino recently expressed regret over not receiving an Oscar nomination for his role as Tony Montana in the 1983 film Scarface, directed by Brian De Palma. Although the film was initially criticized, it has since gained recognition as a classic. Pacino, who won an Oscar in 1992 for Scent of a Woman, has been nominated a total of seven times. In his autobiography, he also reflects on nearly being replaced in The Godfather, where top actors were considered for his role.
