Vermont State Police are investigating a presumed drowning in Williamstown after a body, believed to be 30-year-old Steven Jones, was recovered from Rood Pond. Jones was last seen duck hunting when his kayak overturned on Sunday. Witnesses reported hearing yelling and noticed the overturned kayak. The body has been sent to the medical examiner for identification and cause of death confirmation. Authorities do not suspect foul play.
