VA Tech Wabag has secured a ₹1,000 crore ($133 million) contract from Indosol Solar to build a 100 MLD desalination plant in Andhra Pradesh, aimed at supporting the solar PV sector. The project will take 38 months to complete, followed by a 15-year maintenance agreement. Wabag, known for its experience in desalination, aims to enhance water security for Indosol's 10 GW solar manufacturing unit, marking its entry into the renewable energy space.
