Thiruvananthapuram International Airport has initiated 'Project Anantha', with a ₹1,300 crore investment aimed at expanding Terminal 2 over three years. The expansion will increase the terminal area from 45,000 sq. m to 165,000 sq. m, enabling it to accommodate 12 million passengers annually. Key improvements include a new air traffic control tower, an international cargo complex, and enhanced facilities. Construction begins this fiscal year, with completion expected by 2027.
