A deer farm in Breckinridge County, Kentucky, has reported its first case of Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD), marking the state's second confirmed case. CWD, a fatal neurological disease affecting deer and elk, is spread through contact with infected fluids or environmental contamination. The farm is quarantined, with restricted movement of deer and products. The Kentucky Department of Agriculture has established management and surveillance zones around the facility. No human transmission has been confirmed.
