A significant steppe fire in Dornod province, eastern Mongolia, has devastated at least 75,000 hectares, according to the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA). The blaze, which started in Bayandun Soum, was extinguished by Monday evening. It resulted in one herder being hospitalized and destroyed two gers, three livestock fences, one vehicle, and one house. NEMA has urged the public to avoid open flames during the high-risk fire period from September 20 to November 10.
