The European Space Agency's Euclid telescope has unveiled its first cosmic map, showcasing 14 million galaxies in a 208-gigapixel image that represents 1% of the planned six-year survey. This mission aims to create a 3D map of the universe, exploring dark energy and dark matter while providing insights into cosmic history. Over the project duration, it will observe billions of galaxies across a third of the sky, extending up to 10 billion light-years away.
