Bandai Namco downsizes its workforce, cancels projects, and uses "oidashi beya" due to declining demand.

Bandai Namco is downsizing its workforce and canceling several projects, including a collaboration with Nintendo and titles based on One Piece and Naruto, due to declining demand. The company has reportedly used a method known as "oidashi beya," moving around 200 employees to inactive roles to encourage voluntary resignations, with nearly 100 already leaving. Despite these challenges, Bandai Namco celebrated the success of Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero, which sold over 3 million copies on launch day.
