Teachers' unions in Zimbabwe are continuing their fight for better working conditions despite a High Court ruling that dismissed their application. The Zimbabwe Teachers Association and others are boycotting the National Joint Negotiation Council and seeking amendments to the Public Service Act to ensure collective bargaining rights and fair wages. They argue the Act contradicts the Constitution and are demanding a salary increase to US$1,260 from a pre-2018 figure of US$540.
