14- and 16-year-olds charged with multiple break-ins in NSW after stolen car chase and fire.
Two teenagers, aged 14 and 16, were charged with multiple offenses following a series of break-ins in Nambucca Heads, New South Wales, on October 12. Police pursued them after a stolen vehicle, a white Hyundai Sonata, was reported. The chase ended when the car caught fire. The 14-year-old was arrested after a medical episode; the 16-year-old was arrested later. Both are denied bail and set to appear in Port Macquarie Children's Court. Authorities seek information on two remaining suspects.
