Wisconsin's Department of Transportation will close two Milwaukee-area park-and-ride lots, starting October 21, due to safety concerns linked to increasing homelessness and crime, including assaults and drug overdoses. Over 80 individuals have been assisted in finding housing, but more continue to occupy the lots. Concrete barriers will be installed to restrict entry, while officials evaluate other park-and-ride locations for safety.
