Sarnia has welcomed new Deputy Police Chief Mike Van Sickle and Deputy Chief Julie Craddock during a recent swearing-in ceremony. Van Sickle, a local with 20 years of service, had been acting deputy chief since Craddock's departure in August for another role. Both were appointed by the Sarnia Police Service Board and praised for their leadership. Van Sickle will oversee operations and community support, working alongside second Deputy Chief Ron Hansen.
