Oba Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi, the Oluwo of Iwoland in Nigeria, has requested to be addressed as "His Imperial Majesty" instead of "His Royal Majesty." In a Facebook statement, he explained that this title reflects the historical significance of the Oluwo throne and its direct lineage to Oduduwa. He stressed that Iwo's unique status, lacking a Baale, warrants such distinction and stated that any correspondence without the proper title will not be acknowledged.
