A team of 35 power line technicians from Nova Scotia Power is in Tampa, Florida, aiding in electricity restoration after Hurricanes Milton and Helene caused significant damage. They joined hundreds of Canadian workers assisting since late September. Working 16-hour shifts, they are addressing downed trees and splicing lines. Restoration lead Paul Breski noted the destruction's similarity to post-tropical storm Fiona in 2022, but highlighted different wildlife challenges.
