New York State is launching an automatic speeding ticket system on 15 roads from today until October 19, 2024, to enhance safety in work zones. This program, part of the Automated Work Zone Speed Enforcement initiative, holds vehicle owners accountable for speeding fines, regardless of the driver. Thirty radar-based cameras will monitor various construction zones, issuing fines of $75 for second violations and $100 for subsequent offenses within 18 months.
