A study indicates that Medicare could save up to $336 million annually by introducing a 75-milligram vial of the Alzheimer's drug Leqembi. Currently, about 6% of the drug is wasted due to patients receiving lower prescribed doses than the available 200-milligram and 500-milligram vials. The proposed change could reduce waste by 74%, potentially benefiting other Medicare-covered medications as well.
