2023 mental health-related sick leave among Danish workers aged 18-49 increased from 8% to 12%.

A Voxmeter survey for The Wellbeing Association shows that mental health-related sick leave among Danish workers aged 18 to 49 rose from 8% to 12% in 2023. Overall, the rate increased from 7% to 9% across all age groups. The survey highlights that younger workers (18-34) are less likely to discuss dissatisfaction at work with managers compared to older peers. Associate Professor Karen Christina Spuur notes younger generations are more self-aware about their mental well-being.
