Malaysian Health Ministry seeks clarification from IJN on proposed 10-40% fee increase for referred patients.

The Malaysian Health Ministry is seeking clarification from the National Heart Institute (IJN) regarding its proposed fee increase of 10 to 40% for patients referred by the ministry. Deputy Health Minister Datuk Lukanisman Awang Sauni noted that the IJN operates under the Finance Ministry, limiting the Health Ministry's influence over the fee structure. Discussions are planned to understand the rationale behind this increase, as IJN has maintained government rates since 2003.
