Florida Panthers star Matthew Tkachuk will miss about a week due to illness, missing the game against the Boston Bruins and targeting a return on October 22 against the Minnesota Wild. Team captain Aleksander Barkov is also sidelined for two to three weeks with a lower-body injury. Tkachuk, a key scorer, has contributed two assists this season. The Panthers will need to lean on secondary scorers during this critical period.
