Assam CM announces finalized NDA seat-sharing for Jharkhand assembly elections, AJSU 9-11 seats, JD(U) 2; LJP talks pending.
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced that the NDA's seat-sharing for Jharkhand's assembly elections is nearly finalized. The AJSU Party will contest 9-11 seats, and JD(U) will contest two. Talks with the Lok Janshakti Party are pending. The first candidate list will be released within 48 hours post the Election Commission's model code of conduct announcement. Elections are expected by December 2024, with the current assembly's term ending in January 2025.
