Ronnie Dawson, a prominent figure in rugby, has died at 92. A former captain of both the British and Irish Lions and the Ireland national team, he played 27 times for Ireland and six Tests as Lions captain, notably leading to a historic 9-6 win over New Zealand in 1959. Dawson was also the first coach of Ireland and served on the organizing committee for the 1987 Rugby World Cup. His contributions to rugby have been widely celebrated.
