The State Bank of India (SBI) is increasing the threshold limit for its instant loan scheme for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) beyond the current Rs 5 crore. Through its digital platform, MSME Sahaj, the bank aims to streamline loan applications and disbursements within 15 minutes. SBI emphasizes cash flow-based lending, reducing collateral requirements, and plans to open 600 new branches this financial year to enhance credit access.
