India's ONGC plans mini-LNG plants in Andhra Pradesh, Jharkhand, and Gujarat to optimize stranded gas and boost domestic energy production.

India's Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) plans to establish mini-LNG plants at five sites in Andhra Pradesh, Jharkhand, and Gujarat to optimize stranded natural gas from isolated wells. These plants will convert gas into liquefied natural gas (LNG) by cooling it to -160 degrees Celsius, facilitating transport to pipelines for re-gasification. This initiative aims to boost domestic energy production and reduce dependence on foreign energy imports.
