2021 Bayeux War Correspondents' Awards honored AFP's Mahmud Hams for his photo of a grieving woman in Gaza.

The Bayeux War Correspondents' Awards recognized outstanding journalists for their coverage of global conflicts. AFP photographer Mahmud Hams won the top prize for a poignant image of a grieving woman in Gaza after an Israeli strike. Other winners included BBC's Andrew Harding for radio reporting on migrant smuggling, Rami Abou Jamous for written press, and Mohamed Abou Safia and John Irvine for television coverage. Kostiantyn Liberov received the Public's Choice award for his Ukraine reporting.
