USDA approves 55% automatic SNAP benefits for 28 SC counties affected by Hurricane Helene.

The USDA has approved automatic replacement benefits for SNAP recipients in 28 South Carolina counties affected by Hurricane Helene, where over 50% of households faced lengthy power outages. Recipients will receive 55% of their September benefits, credited to EBT cards by October 15. Those not included in the automatic replacement can apply for individual assistance by October 26. Additionally, FEMA is providing disaster relief services in Upstate South Carolina.
