Sabah earned over RM100 million from its sixth crude oil sale via the Samarang PSC at Labuan Crude Oil Terminal.

Sabah has earned over RM100 million from its sixth crude oil sale, amounting to 300,000 barrels, via the Samarang Production Sharing Contract at the Labuan Crude Oil Terminal. SMJ Energy Sdn Bhd, which holds a 50% interest in the PSC, sold the cargo purchased in May 2023. Cumulatively, Sabah has generated nearly RM800 million since sales began, with expectations of steady revenue for the next 12 years, benefiting the local economy significantly.
