Riga International Airport, the largest in the Baltic region, projects serving over 7 million passengers in 2024, following a record 6.6 million in 2023—up 23.2% from the previous year. As of September 2024, the airport processed 5.3 million passengers, a 9% increase year-over-year. airBaltic carried nearly two-thirds of travelers, while Ryanair accounted for about 20%. The airport also managed 13,300 tons of cargo in the first nine months of 2024.
