20-megawatt floating offshore wind turbine launched in China's Jiangsu Province, supporting its shift to renewable energy.
China has launched the world's largest floating offshore wind turbine, a 20-megawatt unit in Jiangsu Province. With a 260-meter diameter and an annual output of 62 million kWh, it can power around 37,000 homes, saving 25,000 tons of coal and reducing CO2 emissions by 62,000 tons. This turbine, equipped with advanced monitoring technologies, supports China's shift toward renewable energy, which now constitutes over half of its power generation capacity.
